Hey there, fellow brains! I updated the comments system of the site and so, I thought I'd let you know about it. The site now utilizes the disqus comments system. This blog update post is mainly to explain (to those who are not familiar with disqus) about how you can comment on posts.
At the bottom of each post, you will be able to find the above comments section. Once you click inside the text box, you will get the following options:
You will now be able to do one of three things:
- You can sign in with your Facebook, google+ or Twitter account and post under that name.
- You can log in using a Disqus account or alternatively create a new Disqus account to comment.
- You can also comment as guest, without the need to create any new account. (I will go into more detail about this, since it isn't too clear how you would do this at first glance.)
Commenting as a Guest
However, you might also want to comment without creating a new Disqus account or using your social media account. For those of you who wish to do this, keep reading:
Click within the text box that says NAME. When you do this, it opens up a few more text boxes as shown above. Below these text boxes, you will notice a check box which says I'd rather post as a guest.
Click that check box and it should change the text boxes above, which simply asks for your name and email address.
Enter those details and then enter your comment. Once this is done, hit the arrow button at the bottom. Voila, you have now commented as a guest!
I made this blog post to make the transition to Disqus comments a bit easier. If there are still problems that you want to clarify, let me know by sending me an email at [email protected] .
NOTE: My post in the lyrics section and animation section have seen a couple of comments (Thank you for those awesome comments!). However, due to this change in commenting system, those few comments will be hidden. I am really sorry for the inconvenience.
As always, if you have any suggestions or comments, let me know in the comments section below or send me an email. See you later, brains!
